Harsh reactions to food and food additives is cause for food
intolerance. When the body’s immune system or defense system
is directly involved this causes immediate reactions and
severe food allergies.
There are many doctors who choose to make use of the phrase
food intolerance just for undesirable reactions to food
where the human body’s immune mechanism is not involved.
Generally allergy tests are recommended to see whether an
individual is suffering from this. Fatique also sets in when
people suffer from food intolerance.
There are many different kinds of non-immune responses to

If you do take the time to read the labels on the processed foods you buy, you’re bound to notice that they usually list some additives and preservatives. Virtually all processed foods contain one or more of these chemical substances, most of which are synthetically produced.
In the highly competitive food industry, attractiveness success, and economy are all essential to financial success. Additives and preservatives can contribute to all three of these qualities. Before sentatives of the food industry claim that without additives and preservatives, our food supply would be considerably …

Diets come and go like most fads, but juice and raw food diets are something that have been around for years that will never go out of style. Blenders and juicers can help make delicious drinks that are healthy as well as tasty. Another thing some people like to do is to puree vegetables and sneak them into recipes. Amazingly, most of the time you can’t even taste them once they are baked in or cooked into other foods. Health and nutrition are two of the most important things to …

Organic food will benefit your health

All of those people who you have likely called “health nut” because of their organic activism actually do have valid arguments. Organic food is better for you and it is not just a gimmick or ploy by the farmers and retail food chains to siphon more money out of your grocery budget. One of my cooked food addictions in my previous life was pizza. Specifically pepperoni pizza.

When I was a kid, a big treat was going to Pizza Hut. In my home town there was a big restaurant branch, which was kinda a big deal then. They had the coolest promotions – like they would put an electronic timer on your table and if it went off before you got your pizza – it was free!
Then – OHMYGOD – they started doing “All you can eat”, but you had to request additional …

First, I was the single woman about town, grabbing food on the run or at work (Cold Feet: great show, but food fit for your dog). With money to burn and time to indulge myself, eating out was the norm and not a treat.
Then came a boyfriend, Dan, and with him cosy nights at home, cooking. The longer we were together, the more we shared our love of all things edible. Then, after I had cooked a particularly good lamb shank, he popped the question: “Will you give me that …
