Apart from an inexplicable fear of finding myself barefoot in a locked room with a Chihuahua named Ernesto, there are few things in life that truly terrify me.
Except, of course, Greek restaurants.
It doesn’t matter if the food is delicious or the service prompt and friendly. Invariably, my heart starts pounding, my hands start shaking and my armpits start leaking whenever I scan the menu at a Greek restaurant and notice they offer, for instance, a dish called lachanodolmades.
Don’t even ask what happens if somebody recommends the kleftiko or htapothi sti …

What if I turned over a new leaf and tried to see Sandy in a different light? What if I tried to see what her fans appreciate about her? What if I could appreciate her strengths rather than focus on her weaknesses? The latter, which up to now I certainly would have said, vastly outnumbers the former.
Okay, let’s begin:
The best part, I have to admit, is that I only caught the last half of the show, so surely I can sit through 15 minutes of Sandy without reverting to snarky, …

THE market will reward you for cash. On the face of it, a simple enough statement, but also one which illustrates the disciplines needed to thrive in the new paradigm.
There are other refinements. Brands are now taking a back seat as consumers turn their heads to the new church of value, McDonald’s sees its sales go through the roof, while those previously devoted to building impregnable brands now tout the idea that even top quality branding can be brought downmarket.
For Kerry it could represent a new opportunity. Cash rich and …

SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones) — A bruising battle for market share that has rattled frozen food aisles for months shows no sign of abating.
This is good news for cash-starved consumers eager to upgrade from Salisbury steak. But it could crimp earnings at H.J. Heinz, ConAgra Foods and Nestle S.A., top sellers of frozen entrees in the U.S., if it goes on much longer.
Heinz, best known for its ketchup, makes Smart Ones, Boston Market and TGI Friday frozen meals. ConAgra sells Healthy Choice, Marie Callender and Banquet, while market leader Nestle …

You probably know by now what detoxification is and the ways that it can be done. A detox diet provides the simplest way to detoxifying yourself. A rule of thumb in detox diets: the more fiber and water, the better. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits, beans and nuts. On the other hand, steer clear of caffeine, carbonated drinks, sugars like chocolates, alcohol and yeast.

When everything is ready, add the cooking oil to the large skillet. Lift and tilt the skillet to evenly distribute the oil over the bottom. Preheat the skillet over medium-high heat about one minute.
